Three Rivers Midwifery Service offers prenatal care, home birth, postpartum, newborn, gynecological, family planning and well person care for families throughout the greater Frederick, MD region. Cindi Wylie is a certified nurse-midwife trained in providing care to healthy women and newborns. She provides complete care for healthy, low-risk pregnancy and home birth. This includes regular prenatal care with all standard testing (if desired), attendance at birth in your home as the primary care provider for mother and baby, and postpartum care. Certified nurse-midwives are advanced practice nurses (APRNs) with graduate level education in midwifery. Cindi strives to provide safe, compassionate, evidence-based, out-of-hospital maternity care that is family-centered and guided by families. She believes that pregnancy and birth are normal, healthy processes and approach them with supportive guidance and careful surveillance. Women are encouraged to take charge of their experiences through education, healthy lifestyle, and informed decision making. Through this non-interventionist, collaborative approach, healthy babies, empowered mothers, and strong families are born.
